To the theory of a mass crystallization from solutions
S.P. Fedorov, O.F. Moscovets, V.S. Varlamova
The problem about a mass crystallization from solutions for arbitrary relation of growth rate
of crystals to their linear sizes and supersaturation of environment is formulated and resolved if there is nucleation,
the intensity which one presets by a function of an arbitrary kind. The formulas for the moments of a frequency
function of distribution of crystals on the sizes and integral equation, the solution that one allows to calculate
change of a supersaturation in time, are obtained. The solution of a return problem, permitting to determine intensi
ty of nucleation as a function of time on experimental data about final grain-size composition of crystals and change
of a supersaturation of solution during process, is adduced. As an example the process of separation of a racemic
glutamic acid on optical isomers by a method of a selective crystallization is considered. By results of several
experiments a kinetic constants included in equations of a mathematical model of process are calculated and the
relation of intensity of nucleation from time is calculated.
